Anti-Trump protesters protested outside of Uber’s SanFransisco headquarters

Anti-Donald Trump protesters stood for hours outside of Uber’s San Francisco headquarters, on Friday, 20th Jan. 2017, after the successful inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump. The Protesters linked arms outside Uber’s entrance, chanting, “Donald Trump, go away. Racist sexist, anti-gay.”

They were protesting Uber because the company’s CEO, Travis Kalanick, is a member of Trump’s Strategic and Policy forum. That group also includes Tesla’s Elon Musk and PepsiCo’s Indra Nooyi.

“As a company we’re committed to working with government on issues that affect riders, drivers and the cities where we operate,” an Uber spokesperson told TechCrunch. “Just as we worked with the Obama Administration, we’ll work with the Trump Administration, too.”
